Interview on the Audrey Tobias Stats Can Survey
Omar Ha-Redeye spoke to Newstalk 1010 about the Audrey Tobias decision, released today by the Ontario Court of Justice.
Ms. Tobias was charged with failing to fill out and returning the appropriate census form in 2011, a violation of the Statistics Act, which carries a maximum fine of up to $500 fine and a three month prison term.
Judge Khawley expressed doubts over the memory of the 89-year-old woman, which created a reasonable doubt over her intent at the time of her refusal to fill out the census.
