Mandatory Reporting for Physicians and Health Care Professionals

Omar Ha-Redeye spoke at the Meta:Phi conference on Sept. 24, 2022, on “Mandatory reporting to the Ministry of Transportation: Considerations and review of the legislation.”

The talk discussed the obligations under s. 203 of the Highway Traffic Act, and some of the case law by the Human Rights Tribunal (Ontario), the License Appeal Tribunal, and other decisions. The objectives of the talk included helping attendees:

-Define mandatory reporting requirements for the Ministry of Transportation.
-Summarize common scenarios that may require reporting.
-Demonstrate an approach to helping a patient apply for reinstatement of a license.
